Some love stories are meant to have a second chapter. Jeremy and Juanita’s wedding at Paicines Ranch in the East Bay area of California was living proof that happily ever after can come later in life. When it does come it can be even more beautiful than imagined.
The party started early as the wedding party got ready in different areas of the venue. Paicines Ranch provided the perfect places to take fun photos, showing the love and support of the their loved ones.
Set against the rustic charm and golden light of Paicines Ranch, their luxurious celebration was not only full of emotion and joy—it was also a visual dream. Every thoughtful detail, from the florals to the table settings to the heartfelt ceremony, told a story of love, intention, and deep connection. With this wedding I took over 3,000 photos and there were two additional photographers there as well!
As a photographer, I pour my heart into every wedding I document, and this one was no exception. From the early moments of getting ready to the wild joy of the dance floor, I worked to capture not just images, but emotion. Using unique angles, layered compositions, and intentional framing, I strived to create photographs that don’t just show the day—they tell it. There were so many treasured moments, it was a definite challenge to narrow down the photo selection!
It’s in the quiet in-between moments: the soft clasp of hands, a joyful tear, the laughter of family. These are the details I chase, and Jeremy and Juanita gave me so many to treasure. Their chemistry, warmth, and comfort with each other made every candid feel authentic and every portrait shine.
Throughout the day, I focused on capturing the luxurious elegance of the setting while maintaining the authenticity of the emotions unfolding. From sweeping wide shots of the ranch’s stunning landscape to tight, intimate close-ups of fleeting glances, every image was crafted with care and intention.
This wedding was a privilege to capture! There were fun elements that the bride and groom provided for their guests that kept the energy and enjoyment high! Instead of a bouquet toss, there was a bouquet “May Pole” that provided a fun twist on the tradition. They also had a very talented cartoon artist, even the bride and groom had the fun opportunity to receive an amazing drawing.
Jeremy and Juanita, thank you for trusting me to capture such an important chapter of your story. Your wedding reminded me why I love what I do—and how powerful love can be when it’s given a second chance.
With gratitude and joy,
Ashley Jensen
