A Desert Wedding

There is a unique kind of beauty in the desert that you can’t find anywhere else. For some who never have the opportunity to see it in person it may be hard to truly imagine. I myself, grew up in Arizona and for most of my life took it for granted, dreaming of other places all together.

Having the opportunity to take photos for this couple helped remind me of it’s simple beauty. This was a wedding unlike any that I have had the opportunity to be a part of before! Not only is it in the beauty of the desert, it was also an amazing combination of cultures. This beautiful bride pulled details from her culture of Pakistan while the groom pulled from his culture of India and together pulled from the United States of America. Getting to see all three come together in such a stunning way was amazing to be a part of.

Getting to be there to see the love and support from their friends and family was truly a special experience. Especially when I got to meet the bride’s mom and nana! She was raised by these two incredible, strong women and getting to capture their special moment was priceless! Nana endeared herself to me right away! She sadly is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. I lost my own grandmother 6 months before I got married from the same disease. I am beyond grateful that I was able to captures these moments for the bride, and her family, I know just how hard it can be. Nana did not know who I was, but she just about made me cry when, in her native language she blessed me several times and blew me kisses!

Three Generations

The bride went above and beyond planning and preparing so many details of her wedding! The food was made by family, all the little details were DIY projects, smores instead of a cake, and she had a catered coffee bar! Everything was beautiful and unique!

The details of what she wore was a stunning cultural representation! The flowers, the rings, and even her perfume bottle were all fun little details to capture!

The reception is a time to party and celebrate with loved ones in really fun ways!

Being a wedding photographer gives me the chance to capture beautiful moments, funny moments, loving moments, and all the little details in between.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE HAPPY COUPLE!! I wish you luck and hope you have many adventures a head!
